ALIVE training modules

The following ALIVE training modules are developed based upon the results of research studies funded by the Assistance to Firefighters Grant Program and the operating procedures of leading fire departments. The procedures shown are recommendations for how to operate safely when confronted with the situations typically encountered. If these procedures conflict with your departmental SOPs or the orders you receive on the fire-ground, please make sure to follow your own local SOPs and orders.

Please be assured that your responses will remain confidential, and will not be made available to any fire officials. If you encounter any technical difficulties during this training program, please email us at: fire.research@nyu.edu

If this is your first time using the ALIVE program, please go through the tutorial, which will explain how to use the program. If you are familiar with ALIVE training, you may skip the tutorial and begin the training. This is a video tutorial from the "Wind-driven high-rise fires" module that demonstrates various features of ALIVE program and how to use them to enhance the experience and quality of training.
